CLAIRE GESAH

Claire is from Marble Bar and is a registered member of the Nyiyaparli and Palyku Native Title Groups. Claire has gained valuable experience working in the hospitality and medical services sectors, and Claire has completed her training in the Queensland Police Service as a Police Officer. Claire has also developed mining expertise with her work with FMG as a Production Operator. Claire is now looking forward to contracting opportunities within the Pilbara area.

Claire has three adult daughters and is driven to provide more opportunities for women in the mining industry with more of our women in management and leadership roles.

JAYLEEN ANTHONY

Jayleen Anthony was born in Port Hedland, Western Australia, where she completed her schooling at Hedland Senior High School. Jayleen is a member of the Nyiyaparli Native Title Group and often went on heritage surveys with her nannas for various mining companies.

Jayleen is hoping to become a great role model for her family and the younger generation.

ELSA DERSCHOW

Elsa is from Port Hedland, Western Australia and is a very proud descendant of the Palyku, Banyjima, Nyiyaparli and Yindjibarndi people of the Pilbara.

Elsa has over 15 years’ experience in the Education Department and has over 10 years’ experience working in the mining industry. Elsa has high level expertise in mentoring, training and Aboriginal Engagement as well as management within the crushing and stemming field.

Elsa is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for women in the resources sector and supporting community initiatives.

RAYLENE BUTTON

Raylene is a Kariyarra woman born in Port Hedland. During her life Raylene has lived in many Pilbara communities and towns including Yandeyarra, Warralong, Strelley, Carlindie, Woodstock, Halls Creek and Port Hedland. She also spent six years living in Perth.

Her position as a highly respected spokesperson for the Kariyarra people is a result of her education and abilities to comprehend the often-complex negotiations and discussions which occur in the Native Title process.

Raylene was also involved in establishing the Kariyarra Youth Education Program to teach leadership skills, culture, heritage knowledge, land management and negotiation skills, and to encourage children to pursue their dreams.

Raylene is most proud of this role in the various Kariyarra Youth Leadership Programs as well as obtaining her university degree and taking on the Community Spokesperson role.

ANGELO RADESKI

Angelo is a highly qualified and dynamic executive professional with over 15 years’ experience in the mining, resource and civil sectors, with his experience stemming from site-based projects through to Managing Director and Board level. He has a strong understanding of Indigenous culture and native title language groups throughout Australia, together with a solid background in health and safety management practices, including working with both government and non-government organisations.

Angelo has a Tertiary Post Graduate Certificate in OH&S and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He has a strong safety focus and understanding of the mining industry and its associated risks, and is committed to the safety and well-being of mining industry personnel.

As Managing Director and founding shareholder of an Indigenous start-up company, from its inception, Angelo achieved great success and was directly involved in the company’s success leading it to a $70 Million PA turnover with a secured order book of $250 Million. He was also directly overseeing a workforce of 250 staff whilst building a vast portfolio of assets within the group.

Angelo has a strong passion for Indigenous engagement with a strong customer service focus. He is an experienced and knowledgeable leader who is respected by those in the mining industry.

DR STUART WESTON

Dr Weston has over 20 years of experience in petroleum reservoir engineering, formation evaluation, oil and gas exploration and oil and gas company management.

Dr Weston initially worked as a service provider of data acquisition services to oil and gas companies throughout Australia, New Zealand and most of South East Asia providing him invaluable operational and well site experience.

Dr Weston is a founding director of Tranxient, a software company specialising in the simulation of complex gas transmission networks. He is also a founding director of the Reservoir Engineering consultancy, Weston Petroleum Consultancy that was established in 2007. The consultancy specialises in developing their client’s understanding of their petroleum resources, evaluation of new resource opportunities and day to day operations of oil and gas fields.

Dr Weston is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Physics, both from Curtin University, Western Australia.
